Here are some ways different kinds of projects can trigger

  • Practical Projects (e.g. painting, cleaning, gardening) transform the environment in which someone lives or works, and perhaps as a result, what they hope and accomplish
 
  • Social Projects (e.g. learning together, playing with kids, doing arts and sports) transform relations between people who would ordinarily be on opposite sides of a line, and perhaps people’s view of themselves as well as the Other
 
  • Street Projects (e.g. distributing sandwiches/bottles of water on the street, picking up trash, giving out flowers & free hugs) transform the “kindness quotient” of the neighborhood and the city by not only serving, but serving in full view of everyone
